  5. I’m newly vegan and have never made seitan before. I have a package of vital wheat gluten in the fridge, waiting. I looked up recipes for seitan and it does seem very simple. For this recipe (which looks delicious!) is the seitan already cooked? If so, how was it prepared? What I gather is that the “basic” way of making it involves adding some garlic etc. to the dough, and then simmering it in a broth. Is this how the seitan in your recipe was prepared?

  6. I buy pre made seitan from the local health food store! You can totally make your own, and the way you described would work great and add flavor to the dish! 🙂
