Don’t you just love starting your day with a warm drink?! I’ve been trying to switch things up recently by adding a Golden Milk Latte to my rotation. If you haven’t tried these yet, you need to jump on the bandwagon. They are totally addictive!

Fresh turmeric turns this warm and comforting drink a light golden color, and also helps to fight inflammation in your body. A crack of black pepper and a fat like coconut oil help activate the turmeric so it can work its magic. Ginger and cinnamon are the perfect warming spices to accompany the turmeric.

I feel great when I have my golden milk latte in the morning, and my kids have been loving it too. Have you tried this beautiful drink yet? What flavors do you add?

  1. A few questions..
My kids don’t like warm/hot drinks. Could I skip step 2 and serve after blending?
Is there any possible way to make this into popsicles or ice cream?
How long will it keep in fridge? Could I make it the night before?

  2. I have been using 1 teaspoon per inch of fresh. Turns out great! I look forward to trying it with fresh when I can!

  3. Ground turmeric is more potent than the fresh. Look at Turmeric Users groups on Facebook. They offer a lot of help and info. Can make up golden paste in advance and keep refrigerated. It needs a bit of cooking first.

  4. If I can’t get ahold of some fresh turmeric root, what would the ground turmeric equivalent be? Thanks, Catherine! Can’t wait to make this!
